Erika Dufour – Sassy Photographer Extraordinaire

dufour03

When is the last time you met a pretty girl who could do a pirouette, snap a killer photo and have your back in a street fight? LOL, well unless you’ve had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of one of Chicago’s hottest shutterbugs Erika Dufour… chances are you haven’t!

Thanks to the omnipotent powers of Twitter I’ve been fortunate enough to cross paths with the aforementioned feminine prowess and I’ve got to tell you… talent is an understatement. Canadian born photographer Erika Dufour now resides in Chi-Town and is holding it down! She has her own studio in central Chicago and as you can see, she’s doing quite well.

I was very impressed when I went to her website, the range and variety of her work is testament to her studies at Columbia College and years of real world experience. I could go on giving kudos for days but instead why don’t I let her work speak for itself!

AigleBoots

All I can say is WOW!

What a stunning eye grabbing attention stealing ad! Art director Florence Bellisson definitely gets proppers from Casualty of Design on this one. What a great sexy idea to sell this product. When this idea came to whoever originally thought of it, they had to know they struck gold. This ad definitely deserves and award for creativity and originality!

Parx Hanger Heads – Who Do You Want To Be Today?

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

parx-1

Everyone of us wants to be someone new everyday. And by wearing a new look each day, we bring this dream alive. The parx website idea was born out of this desire. As the clients cut budgets and wanted to go online, the idea achieved sales even though print and television were left out of the plan. Anyone could go online, choose their attire and complete the picture by uploading their face-pic. This brought alive the concept of ‘who do you want to be today?’ as they could try out various avatars without stepping out. As this virtual catalog / trial-room recorded a high number of trials, the campaign was taken further in print and also in film.

Well I suppose it’s no different than selling alcohol… if you want to sell just as sex and call it good. LOL, either you sell the idea to guys that this product will get you more sex or you sell the idea to women that this product will make you sexier! Ya gotta love capitalism at it’s finest!
